Our Mission

Lake Effect - A positive force of team chemistry, family and fun.

The positive force comes from the energy someone embodies, on and off the field.  This energy shines from head to toe: mentally, physically and morally.  Being part of Lake Effect Athletics means you are part of something bigger than yourself - a community, a family and a team.  From coaches and players, to family and fans, Lake Effect Athletics will not waiver from being a positive force of sportsmanship and fellowship towards opponents, coaches, officials and our own team.

About Us

Lake Effect Athletics began in the spring of 2019 initially as a company providing private softball lessons to youth in the community.  It quickly evolved into the beginning of competitive youth teams by the end of that summer.  Lake Effect Athletics currently consists of four teams with 90 athletes coming from various cities in West Michigan.  

• Our coaches hold these standards in the highest regard.
• We will provide opportunity and instruction to every athlete on our team.
• We will respect our athletes and interact with them as we wish them to interact with others.
• We will prepare them in their attempt to earn a college scholarship and we will make every effort to honestly promote each athlete.  
• As a program, we try to break down the game of softball into the key fundamental mechanics of the game itself as well as the mental challenges in preparation and competition.  Hitting and fielding techniques are taught to our players from elite coaches where we focus on the basic fundamentals of the game.
• Our teams' appearance and conduct will provide a positive example for any young girl who is interested in softball, for any official who is considering us for an event or any sponsor who is available to support us.
